Test Results

I had my 3-hour glucose test last week. It was a pretty rough day. But, we managed to make it through. Chris went with me, and then my mom came and stayed to drive me home. It was great to have them there--they were a good distraction. I got the results back and everything is normal--I am so relieved!! Thanks to everyone who sent encouraging text messages throughout the day, it definitely helped keep my mind off of the tests. I have my next sonogram on Friday, so I will post pictures as soon as I can.

We helped host a baby shower for Johnnie and Angela a few weeks ago. It was really fun and so good to see some of our old friends. Angela and I are only 7 weeks apart, so it has been really great to go through our first pregnancy's together.

Not So Good At This........

I have not been good about updating this page at all!! Our laptop at home is broken, so I can only update it at work.....hopefully no one will notice that I'm not working. A lot has happened since my last post. I am now 28 weeks, and I had my glucose screening last Friday. Unfortunately, the results came back abnormal, so I am having the 3 hour test on Monday. Most of you know how good I am with needles, so I am completely dreading it. I have to fast for 12 hours, and then have blood drawn 4 times over 3 hours. Hopefully everything will come back normal, and we won't have to deal with gestational diabetes.

Our little girl is definitely growing (I will post pictures soon), and extremely active. I catch myself just sitting and watching my belly move around. I have my next sonogram in 2 weeks--I can't wait!! We bought all of the furniture and bedding for the nursery, and in March, we will start putting the room together. Right now it is just sitting in the corner. The pile keeps getting bigger and bigger :) I will post more soon--as soon as we get the computer back up and running.
